Experience-sharing meeting between the teams of BgMVO and the Czech Medicines Verification Organisation (CZMVO / NOOL)

On 19 and 20 May, a meeting was held in Sofia between the teams of BgMVO and CZMVO, during which the participants had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on various topics related to their shared mission – ensuring that patients receive authentic medicines through a reliable and effective National Medicines Verification System.

During the open and in-depth discussions, the teams explored a wide range of operational and strategic topics, shared approaches, and drew insights from solutions applied in different practical situations.

The structures and functions of the two organizations were presented, along with their approaches to alert management and their work with end-users and marketing authorization holders. Good practices were shared in the implementation of quality management systems, as well as activities related to ensuring the stable operation and reliability of the national verification systems and information security.

A number of similarities in the work of the two organizations were identified, and additional topics were outlined for continued discussions and partnership among colleagues from the different units.

The working meeting concluded with a charitable team-building activity in which the participants assembled two children’s bicycles in support of the “For Our Children” Foundation.

This meeting marked another step toward strengthening cross-border cooperation within the European Medicines Verification System by promoting transparency, continuous learning, and improvement in collaborative work for the benefit of the reliability of the legal pharmaceutical supply chain.
